One of the most popular tropical fruits in the world, pineapple is sweet, juicy and delicious. It is an excellent source of vitamin C, vitamin A, manganese, vitamin B1, vitamin B6, folate and copper. Loaded with calcium, phosphorus and potassium, pineapple is also rich in fibre and calories. As this fruit is low in fat and cholesterol, pineapple can be enjoyed by all.

·         Pineapple can help in ailments related to the stomach and the intestinal area.   

·         Pregnant women can benefit from consuming pineapple as pregnancy related problems such as nausea or morning sickness can be treated with pineapple consumption.

·         Dyspepsia and irritable bowel syndrome, abdominal irritation, constipation and even worm infestations can be treated with this fruit. The GI tract will heavily benefit from pineapple.

Skin care

·         As pineapples are rich in Alpha-Hydroxy Acids, it slows down the ageing process. Apply pineapple juice with a cotton ball on your face. Do not let it stay more than five minutes.

·         Apply a mixture of very ripe pineapple and honey on your face. Leave it for five minutes and then wash your face.

·         Cut a slice of pineapple and use it as a loofah to scrub your body while taking a shower

·         It is one of the best home remedies for wrinkles, moles and warts.

·         Drink pineapple juice as frequently as possible or eat pineapple every day. It is good for health and skin alike. It is also beneficial for women suffering from irregular and painful periods.
