Do chocolate facial at home

Step 1: Cleanse your face thoroughly to remove all the dirt and grime.

You may use a natural cleanser like milk or any other gentle chemical cleanser like Cetaphil cleansing lotion. Make sure to use something that youve tried before.

Step 2: Scrub away the dead cells

Here are the steps to prepare a chocolate scrub:

Add 1 spoon of olive oil, brown sugar, a few drops of vanilla extracts (optional) to cocoa powder (about 1.5 spoons).Mix these well together. Scrub your face in circular motion to remove all dead cells. This scrub gently removes the dead cells, excess oil, dirt and grease from your face.

Option 1. Make a paste of coco powder with water. Further add 2 teaspoons of sea salt. Sea salt exfoliates and helps remove dead cells. It also acts a detoxifier by absorbing the harmful toxins from the skin. Then add a teaspoon of raw milk and mix well to form a scrub. Apply it evenly all over your face and scrub gently in circular motion. Leave it on for 10 minutes. Rinse off thoroughly with warm water

Option 2. Things needed:  Dark chocolate bars, 1 cup milk, 1 tbsp salt, saucepan and a bowl.

First mix milk and salt together, stir to dissolve salt in milk completely.

Place the saucepan on medium heat and keep a bowl (preferably a glass bowl) on top with chocolate pieces, Make sure you melt the chocolate but not on direct heat, Keep stirring continuously till it melts completely. Now add the already prepared milk and salt mixture to the melted dark chocolate. Stir till it melts. Keep it aside and wait till it comes to room temperature. Your mask is ready to use now once it cools down. Apply the mask generously on your face. Relax for 15-20 minutes. Wash off thoroughly with a mild cleanser. Rinse your face properly to avoid smelling like chocolate

Option 3. Things needed: Chocolate spread, honey, butter and sugar.

Mix all the ingredients in a small bowl to get a smooth paste. Put on your skin and wait for 20 minutes. Wash off with warm water and follow with a cool rinse. Caution: Do not use this mask more than twice a month.

Option 4: This face mask is best suited for people with oily skin. Things needed: Cocoa, honey, gramflour (besan) and curd.

Mix 1/3 cup of cocoa powder with 4 tbsp of honey. Blend it well.

For people with oily skin add 2 tbsp of besan and 3 tbsp of curd to it. Besan will act as cleaning agent for your oily skin while curd will control oil secretion. Mix all the ingredients till you see a thick, brown coloured-batter

Spread the chocolate face mask evenly on your face. Leave it onto dry for at least 20 minutes. Wash off your face with lukewarm water

Option 5. This face mask is best suited for people with dry skin. Things needed:

Cocoa powder, honey, oatmeal and cream.

Mix all the ingredients till you see a thick and brown batter. Apply it evenly. Leave it on for 20 minutes. Rinse off with lukewarm water to get a firmer smoother skin.

Option 6. This face pack is best suited for anti-ageing.

Mix a teaspoon of dark coco powder in water to form a smooth paste. Boil a spoon full of tea leaves in water. When you see it imparting colour, remove from the heat. Let it cool and add 2 teaspoons in the mixture. Now add a teaspoon of raw milk and mix well. Apply it evenly all over your face. Leave it on for at least 20 minutes. Rinse thoroughly with lukewarm water.
